The Comeback Plan

We have the human blessing of being able to have a “do-over” in any given moment. With the current pandemic, most of us have been given an opportunity to pause, to be with ourselves, our habits, our thoughts – the good, bad, beautiful, and ugly. Essential workers have had a different kind of opportunity; one of selfless service, sacrifice, and courage to face an invisible threat to common humanity. We have seen the best and worst of ourselves and others during this pandemic. Many of us haven’t known who to trust, who to turn to, what to do, and this has compromised our commitment to health and wellness – mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual.

Here’s the good news. We can turn things around. We can strengthen our immune systems, fortify our genes, increase happiness, and come back from wherever we may have faltered. Wherever you currently stand, you are right where you need to be. You may choose to recognize where things began to unravel, but during these unique times, cut yourself a break. Don’t focus on what went wrong. It’s fairly obvious. Focus on these ten things that you can implement immediately and you’ll open up to greater vitality, happiness, hope, and optimism.

  1. Meditation
  2. Savoring
  3. Gratitude
  4. Meaningful Work
  5. Get Creative with Art
  6. Get Outdoors
  7. Break a Sweat – Move Your Body!
  8. Express Love
  9. Set Long-Range Goals
  10. Spend Time With Positive People Who Actively Appreciate You

I chat with Tom Terwillinger in-depth about these ten strategies as I joined him along with several powerful thought leaders and speakers for his 2020 Comeback Strong Summit.
